Mentorship

Mentorship

Our team has worked towards starting and mentoring teams in order to spread the meaning of FIRST across our county. This is also to establish a networking system that educates and inspires young students to be a part of STEM. Three years ago, our team established our mentoring program through starting two separate FLL teams. Within the past two years, this has grown into the mentorship of 5 FLL Jr. teams, as well as 2 FLL teams. We have also helped start another FLL team and assisted every team in the county that we weren’t already mentoring. COVID-19 has impacted our network greatly, as we haven’t been able to communicate with our fellow teams, and some of them have been shut down due to the unavailability. However, during the off season and upcoming year, f(x) Robotics plans to reestablish ourselves within the community and extensively rebuild new teams, in addition to reviving current ones. We want to grow and build back the message and influence of FIRST within our community, and spark interest in robotics where it was lost. It is of utmost importance to our team to restart our mentorship program so that we can help lay the groundwork for future teams, who will go on continuing and inspiring FIRST ideals.
